Business & Art of Crowdfunding & Microphilanthropy

Artist Stephanie Rothenberg’s exhibition at the Samek Art Museum’s Downtown Gallery, titled ‘Reversal of Fortune’ poses many questions about the role of crowdfunding on a global scale. This collaboration between Bucknell’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Samek Art Museum will address these questions by sharing the experiences of local business owners and student entrepreneurs with crowdfunding projects, and the practical logistics of using crowdsourcing and micro-funding to launch startups. Students:  Decide on a project you would like to undertake… anywhere in the world (U.S. or abroad) and develop a proposal for how you would use the $10,000 USD grant for an altruistic purpose.
