NEW COURSE: “Building an Innovative Character”

Through a series of interdisciplinary one-week team-taught workshops, students will cultivate the habits of an innovative character. The workshops will involve experiential exercises related to acting, philosophy, improvisational comedy, psychology, poetry, advertising, dance, music, visual art, and more. This course will offer a unique opportunity to learn from twenty-one accomplished professors who will provide a broad range of disciplinary perspectives. On March 1, 2018 the Women’s Resource Center (WRC)  will hold a black tie gala to celebrate 30 years of the WRC and campus.  The gala will also be part of the Women’s Leadership Summit occurring on March 1-2.  Be sure to bring back to campus, a cocktail or long dress for this event. Siena College: Summer Service Scholars 2018

Summer Service Scholars (SSS) is an academic internship program in New York’s State Capital through the Siena College Center for Academic Community Engagement. Accepted Summer Service Scholars spend 9 weeks with a nonprofit community partner in the Capital Region, working on projects that build capacity within the organization. SSS provides participants with engaging and valuable experience working with nonprofits, and an opportunity to engage in conversations about social justice with a cohort of other students interested in making a difference in the community.
