Meet with Finance Professionals in NYC!

Here are the two opportunities to travel to NYC on Tuesday, October 28th, with instructions on how to register.You can choose the option that best fits your schedule and career goals. Registration for both is on Handshake. Contact the Center for Career Advancement for more information.

Option One: NYC Finance CCA Career Trek (Full-Day Immersive Experience)

This is the most comprehensive option, designed for students seeking an in-depth look at specific firms before the main evening event.

  • What It Is: A full-day trip that includes small-group visits to several leading financial services firms, followed by the large networking event in the evening.
  • Itinerary & Schedule: The bus departs from the stadium parking lot at approximately 7:00 AM for a full day of company visits and networking.
  • Key Features (Company Visits): The trek is divided into two tracks. You will visit firms from one of the following tracks:
    • Track 1: Corient (Wealth Management), Hamlin Capital Management LLC (Investment Management), and Pretium (Investment Management).
    • Track 2: Houlihan Lokey (Investment Banking) and UBS (Investment/Wealth Management).

Mandatory Requirements for the Career Trek

To participate, you must complete all of the following:

  1. Register on Handshake for the NYC Finance CCA Career Trek.
  2. ALSO Register on Handshake for the evening NYC Finance Industry Networking Event.
  3. Submit your resume to the NYC Finance Career Trek Resume Submission portal.
  4. Complete the required form.
  5. Attend ONE of the mandatory prep sessions.
  6. Provide a $20 CASH bus deposit, which is returned to you upon boarding the bus.

Option Two: NYC Finance Industry Networking Event (Afternoon & Evening Trip)

This option is focused solely on the main evening event, allowing you to connect with a broad range of professionals from across the finance industry.

  • What It Is: An opportunity to travel to NYC for a large-scale networking reception with Bucknell alumni, parents, and employers.
  • Itinerary & Schedule: The bus departs from the stadium parking lot at 12:00 PM to take students to the evening event.

Mandatory Requirements for the Networking Event

To participate, you must complete the following:

  1. Register on Handshake for the NYC Finance Industry Networking Event.
  2. Attend ONE of the mandatory prep sessions.
  3. Provide a $20 CASH bus deposit, which is returned to you upon boarding the bus.

Mandatory Prep Sessions (For Both Options)

You must attend one of the following sessions regardless of which option you choose:

  • Wednesday, October 22nd at 12:00 PM in AW215
  • Thursday, October 23rd at 12:00 PM in AW215
  • Thursday, October 23rd at 4:00 PM in AW214
