This is not a scholarship program. Scholars will not receive funding to offset the cost of attendance.
The Puff Family Scholars program is an experiential curricular and co-curricular integrated set of activities dedicated to enhancing the professional development of students admitted into the Freeman College of Management. Intended to create a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie among its recipients, this cohort-based program will provide the following benefits in addition to peer and alumni mentoring which is already offered to all first-year Freeman students:
- Subsidized housing costs during their first internship. After their sophomore or junior year, once a student obtains a summer internship, the student will be able to apply for a housing stipend to support some of their internship housing costs.
- Early offers to apply to conduct research with a faculty member within the student’s major. As faculty have projects and research opportunities for student involvement, scholars will have early offers to apply.
- Early access and invitations for professional development opportunities.
Scholars will receive early invitations and information about experiential learning opportunities, including fall and spring break trips, professional development events, and guest speaker sessions.
Scholars will be encouraged to use BisonReady, a student development app powered by Suitable, to track experiences and professional development during their time at Bucknell.
