NRF Student Ambassador
A unique role for sharpening your leadership skills. Students that complete at least seven of the requirements listed below by the assigned deadline will be eligible to receive a $1,000 travel stipend award to attend the 2022 NRF Foundation Student Program in New York City, Jan. 13-16, 2022, and a $250 gift card, as recognition for the work accomplished.
NRF Foundation Rising Stars Scholarship
- Offers the opportunity for each member school to select one freshman or sophomore to receive a $1,000 travel stipend to attend the 2022 NRF Foundation Student Program in New York City.
- The Rising Stars Scholarship was created to teach younger students about the variety of career opportunities available in the retail industry, and to encourage them to attend the NRF Foundation Student Program early in their academic careers.
NRF Foundation Fall Programming
- Free to participate
- Open to all students (all majors, all years in school)
- 100% virtual
- Students will gain awareness of the depth and breadth of career paths in the retail industry, increase their understanding of employment trends in the industry and build skills that are in-demand by employers.
- Multiple ways for students to build networks with professionals at a wide variety of companies through chats with recruiters, resume and interviewing advice, a virtual career fair, and mentoring opportunities
NRF Foundation’s Next Generation Scholarship
Awards a $1,000 travel stipend award to 25 students each year, and up to a $25,000 scholarship for one top recipient ($10,000 scholarship for four other recipients).
NRF Foundation Ray Greenly Scholarship
Gives technology (computer science, engineering, IT, data science) or supply chain majors the opportunity to have their travel expenses covered to attend the 2022 NRF Foundation Student Program in New York City. The NRF Foundation’s Student Program will introduce these students to exciting career paths that might not have been considered, with sessions highlighting the impact tech, supply chain, fulfillment, and data and analytics jobs have on retail businesses.
- Students must be sophomores or above with a 3.0 or above GPA to be eligible.
- Application opens Sept. 13 and closes Nov. 19, 2021 ▪ Offers the opportunity for undergraduate college students pursuing a technology major (computer science, engineering, or data science) or a supply chain major, to receive FREE travel and hotel accommodations to attend the 2022 NRF Foundation Student Program, January 13-16, 2022 in New York City.
- By attending, students will be exposed to dozens of leaders in retail, meet with recruiters during the career fair, network with mentors and explore retail’s most exciting store locations across New York City.
- The competition offers a unique opportunity to get real-world case study experience, engage with recruiters and retail leaders, and be recognized as top emerging talent in the industry
- Up to two teams from each university member school can participate
- Closing on Oct. 10, 2021
2022 NRF Foundation Student Program in NYC
- Taking place Jan. 13 – 16, 2022 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC
- Open to all undergraduate and graduate students attending colleges/universities across the country
- Students and faculty at university member schools receive discounted registration rates.
