TWO study abroad courses taught by our own professor Neil Boyd!

Sustainable Management & Technology in COSTA RICA (Winter: Jan. 2 – 15, 2024)  https://globaleducation.bucknell.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgramAngular&id=10484

Sustainable Management & Technology in SCOTLAND (May term: May 13 – 27, 2024)    https://globaleducation.bucknell.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgramAngular&id=10759

Both of the courses are co-taught with Dr. Peter Jansson from the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department (he’s an expert in renewable technologies). I have expertise in Sustainable Management. For two weeks, we travel throughout the country and learn how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are embedded in organizations across the Private, Public, and Non-Profit Sectors. Admission is on a rolling basis. They are full 1.0 credit courses and can count as a MORS, MSUS, GLBM Major-Related Elective, or as an MGMT Elective. They can also count as an Integrated Perspectives course, global connections/environmental connections requirement (tools for critical engagement), and ECEG Elective and CEEG Elective in the College of Engineering. We don’t yet have final cost estimates for the classes, but last year the Costa Rica class cost was around $6,000.  We expect the Scotland course to cost more, but you should also know that financial aid is available if you qualify for aid with the financial aid office. In addition, if you qualify for aid, there are additional global study funds that can be accessed. Please be sure to meet with our wonderful staff in the financial aid office.
